Surgical Tech – OR Tech (Surgical Services)

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | No On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub tech duties across a high-volume Level I Trauma OR environment with 25 OR suites serving a diverse patient population including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Support surgical procedures across multiple service lines including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, sports medicine, and robotic surgery
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including ROSA, Si and Xi da Vinci robots, Stealth, O-Arm, and HIPEC systems
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in general, orthopedic (total joints), and neurosurgery scrubbing — all three areas are required
• Adhere to facility scheduling expectations including working at least one holiday per 13-week contract period

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech certification required
• Virginia state surgical tech license required ; if holding an out-of-state license, a 90-day authorization will be required while the VA state license is being obtained
• Demonstrated proficiency in general surgery, orthopedic (total joints), and neurosurgery — experience in all three specialties is mandatory
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (measured from address on Driver's License) to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with big belly/craniotomy and orthopedic trauma cases highly preferred
• Robotic surgical training (da Vinci or similar platform) highly preferred
