Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid State License required, compact license preferred Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT Must-Have: - 2 years endovascular experience preferred - Previous charge experience not required - Travel experience required Description: Position will float between units: No. On-call is required. Weekends are required. Block schedules are not required. Expected ratios are 1:1. On-call requirements include weekday call for 16 hours every 4 weeks. Weekend call includes 24 hours every 4 weeks. Weekend shift requirements may necessitate working weekend shifts in lieu of weekday shifts based on department needs. This role involves managing various surgical procedures including endovascular and hybrid room experiences. Candidates should have a comprehensive knowledge of surgical equipment. Certification as a surgical technologist or military training is required. The position focuses on adult specialties encompassing bariatrics, orthopedics, podiatry, neurology, ENT, general surgery, colorectal procedures, urology, and vascular surgeries. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in various surgical tasks, including vascular surgery procedures, laparoscopic techniques, and the use of robotic systems. Candidates will be expected to float between facilities as needed. Refusal to float may lead to termination of assignment. Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront. This position includes various additional responsibilities related to patient care and surgical assistance.
