Employment Specialist

Then we may have the job for you.

Express Pros is looking for an Employment Specialist — part recruiter, part salesperson, part detective, part therapist, and occasionally... professional zombie wake-up caller.

A Typical Day May Include:

• Giving wake-up calls to zombies who somehow forgot they have a job at 7:00 AM.
• Detecting the difference between “my car broke down” and my car has apparently broken down every Monday for six consecutive weeks.
• Interviewing candidates who say, “I’ll do anything!” and then discovering “anything” has approximately 37 exceptions.
• Smelling something suspicious and wondering whether it’s a skunk... or somebody preparing for their drug screen.
• Finding great people jobs and great companies people.
• Calling, texting, emailing, recruiting, interviewing and occasionally wondering if carrier pigeons would get a faster response.
• Celebrating when someone you placed gets hired permanently — because that part actually feels pretty awesome.
• Convincing employers that, yes, we really can find the person they’ve been searching three months for.
• Filling jobs FAST when a client calls and says, “We need 15 people tomorrow morning.”
• Drinking coffee. Probably lots of coffee.
• Changing lives — sometimes before lunch.

You Might Be Our Person If:

You can talk to anybody .

You’re competitive.

You have a sense of humor.

You don’t melt when somebody tells you “no.”

You can juggle 14 things at once without accidentally setting the circus on fire.

You enjoy helping people, but you're also comfortable holding them accountable.

You understand that “I overslept” is an explanation, not a long-term career strategy.

And most importantly, you want a job where no two days are remotely the same.

What You'll REALLY Do

Behind all the craziness, this is an important job.

You’ll interview candidates, match people with opportunities, build relationships with local businesses, recruit hard-to-find talent, manage assignments, solve problems and help people get back to work.

Some days you'll be a recruiter.

Some days you'll be a salesperson.
